MiniTool Partition Wizard Server Edition is a specialized disk management software optimized for Windows Server operating systems. Unlike the Free and Pro editions, the Server Edition supports production environments like Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, and earlier versions, allowing administrators to manage advanced disk setups—such as dynamic disks and complex RAID arrays—without losing business data. Core Concept: The “Pending Operations” Safeguard
The most important rule when using this software is that changes do not happen instantly.
When you resize, format, or convert a disk, the software queues the action in the lower-left Action Panel.
You must explicitly click the Apply button in the top menu to execute the changes. If you make a mistake, you can click Undo before applying. Step-by-Step Instructions for Key Tasks 1. Extending a System Partition (C: Drive)
Servers frequently run out of space on the C: drive. MiniTool allows you to pull unallocated or unused space from other partitions on the same drive.
Open the software and select your C: drive partition from the visual disk layout. Click Extend Partition from the left-side Action Panel.
Open the drop-down menu to choose which drive or unallocated space you want to take free space from.
Drag the slider to adjust how much space you want to add to the C: drive.
Click OK, then click Apply in the top menu. (Note: Modifying a live system partition may prompt a server restart to complete the task in a pre-OS environment.) 2. Creating, Deleting, or Formatting Partitions
